Canadian Women in Sport: Spotlight Grant

Program Overview: This grant is for community sport and physical activity organizations who are working to remove barriers and expand opportunities for girls, women, and gender-diverse participants.
Canadian Tire Jumpstart: Community Development

Program Overview: The Community Development Grant has two funding streams: Operational Support (Assists organizations to build capacity or to cover increased expenses to provide inclusive, safe sport participant experiences) and Programming Support (Assists organizations with the costs of delivering sport and recreational programming).
- Small business, Entrepreneurs with Disabilities, Youth, and Social Enterprise loans up to $150,000.
- Repayable terms up to 5 years with a maximum period of 10 years.
- Interest charges of bank prime +2% to +4%, minimum base rate of 6.5%. Disability and Social Enterprise loans interest charges of bank prime, minimum base rate of 5%.
- Youth Micro Loan Program loans up to $4,000 for enrolled full-time students. Interest charges of 5% for a maximum of two year repayment term. Rebate/grant of 10% borrowed will be returned if loan is paid in full and on time.
- Aftercare loan and business counselling.

The new Arts, Culture and Sport in Community (ACSC) Fund will provide grants to support the arts, culture (heritage, public libraries, and ethnocultural organizations) and amateur sport sectors, enhancing Manitobans' opportunities to access quality programming and facilities in their own community.
Distributed over three years, up to $100 million in funding will support three programs:
- Large Capital Projects
- Small Capital Project and Special Initiatives
- Community Celebrations
The programs will allow local arts, culture and sport organizations to innovate and respond to emerging community needs, including those that are led by Indigenous, Francophone and ethnocultural communities.
