A Chamber of Commerce is a volunteer organization of businesses, professionals, and civic people and those who share their viewpoint, with the primary purpose of promoting the commercial, industrial, social and civic interests of the community. It is a vehicle for free expression of concern and action by volunteers to improve business and to build a better community.
The program of work undertaken by a Chamber of Commerce normally consists of:
-promotion of member businesses and the community as a whole;
-Local community improvements;
-Liaison with government and local organizations; and
-personal and organizational development.
Our goal is to promote community pride and growth; encourage industry and tourism; support medical, educational, community and senior's facilities; and seek ways to encourage youth to live and work here.
The Eriksdale & District Chamber of Commerce meets the first Thursday of the month at 7:30pm in the Council Chambers of the municipal office. Meeting notices are posted on the Eriksdale Chamber of Commerce Facebook page.
