Fieldstone Ventures Education & Training Centre Inc. is a one-stop shop with our office located in Ashern in the TBJ Mall, 61 Main Street. We have a registered Adult Learning Centre offering High School credit courses for adults. The Mature Student Diploma program is designed to assist adult learners 19 years and older to complete their Grade 12 diploma or take extra credits to improve their skills for today’s workplace or further education. Courses offered are at the Grade 10-12 level. We offer a Modular format with learners directing the pace. Qualified instructors are available to help when questions arise. This allows for continuous intake from September to April.Classroom support is available Monday- Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
The Adult Upgrading and Literacy program will help you gain the confidence you need to succeed. Our instructor is there to assist learners to prepare for high school courses; and/or upgrade their essential skills in reading, writing, and numeracy.
Our Employment Assistance Services staff can help you construct a resume, help you search for jobs and careers and walk you through the interview process.We can assist you to develop a step-by-step plan to reach your job/career goal in line with your aspirations.These services are offered free of charge to the public. We are open Monday – Friday, 8:30 – 4:30 p.m. and also have satellite offices in St.Laurent (every Tuesday) and Arborg (every other Thursday). Visit our website for times & locations. There is an ongoing commitment to also bring Post Secondary training to the area when available. Previous Training included: Health Care Aide, LPN, Paramedic, B/A & B/Ed degree, Pre-Trades Training.
We also provide Computer, Business & General Interest Courses. If there is a course you would like to see offered in the area, please give us a call and we will try to accommodate. Courses offered in the past have included Basic, Intermediate and Advanced computers, Manual and Computerized Bookkeeping, International Cooking, Babysitting, First Aid/CPR to name a few.
One-on-one training is available to suit your needs or that of your organization.
The Centre currently employs full and part-time teachers, a part-time Literacy Instructor, Education Director, part-time Administrative Assistant, 2 full time and 2 part-time Employment Assistance Services Reps. Visit our website for full details
