Why is a Building Permit Required?
A building permit is required to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public. It does so by providing the authority having jurisdiction to review the project design and to inspect the construction for minimum standards as required by the Manitoba Building Code and the Buildings and Mobile Home Act.
 
What Documentation is Required?
Complete legal description of the property Three complete sets of blueprints of proposed dwelling or addition. A site plan showing proposed setbacks from property lines for a new structure and all existing structures on the site.
 
Is a Permit Required for a Well and Septic Field?
Yes.
 
Is an Electrical Permit Required?
Yes, A permit must be obtained from the local Manitoba Hydro Office.
